Making Satin Feel Expensive

Most satin slip dresses look beautiful in theory. We wanted to make one that actually felt beautiful to wear.

THE IDEA
Beyond The Bedroom
Satin slip dresses can easily end up looking overly shiny, flimsy or inexpensive. We wanted ours to feel different. The idea was to create a dress that felt effortless enough for bed and lounging, but refined enough to wear outside the bedroom too.
THE SILHOUETTE
Simple, But Not Basic
The silhouette is fluid and relaxed, with a flattering V-neckline, an open back and delicate noodle straps. We kept the lines clean and the proportions considered, creating something feminine and sensual without making it feel overly revealing or fussy.
THE STRAPS
Three Samples For The Right One
We sampled the straps three times to get the noodle strap just right. Adjustable hardware can make a delicate satin dress feel more like innerwear, and we wanted to avoid that completely. The clean, fixed noodle strap keeps the silhouette minimal, refined and intentional.
THE USP
Made To Wear Without A Bra
We added an inner bust lining so you can wear the dress without a bra while still feeling comfortably covered. If you choose to wear innerwear, the lining also helps keep bra lines and edges from showing through the satin. It is a small detail that makes the dress much easier to wear, wherever you choose to wear it.
